La nostra biografia sarà diretta e semplice quasi quanto un comunicato politico, sintetica ed estrema quanto un manifesto poetico.
Gli Starslugs si sono formati nel 2007 in Abruzzo e sono composti da Danilo "Felix" Di Feliciantonio, Pierluigi Cacciatore e la drum machine Rolad TR707 (si, è quella che usavano i Big Black negli anni '80).
Non saprei definire bene quello che facciamo, per cui abbiamo coniato in tempi non sospetti il termine "punknoise". Credo che essenzialmente rispecchi le caratteristiche principali del nostro modo di fare musica.
Siamo nati e ci muoviamo in aperta opposizione ad un mondo musicale come quello italiano che, anche per quel che concerne l'indipendente, ha ancora oggi poco da dire e si basa su sistemi che rispecchiamo quelli della nostra realtà sociale, per cui, se hai le giuste conoscenze, ce la fai, altrimenti non sei nessuno e rimani tale. Scriviamo pezzi in inglese perché ci piace e non a seguito di qualche spinta d'omologazione stellestrisce, anche perché se dovessimo pensare a tutta l'attenzione che la realtà indie italiana ci ha concesso, nel corso degli anni, saremmo assolutamente relegati all'oblio dell'anonimato (mentre adesso ci permettiamo il lusso di essere in quella fetta di torta - citando Foetus - che è l'underground, quello vero - una posizione che non scambierei con niente al mondo). Non rompete i coglioni sull'argomento: in italiano io (Felix) scrivo dei bellissimi racconti e pezzi che leggo durante i reading che spesso tengo in giro per il belpaese. Vi invito ad ascoltarli o a leggerli da qualche parte, in rete o in forma cartacea. Se proprio ci tenete, possiamo farci due chiacchiere in lingua corrente attraverso i canali che preferite (personalmente preferisco ancora il faccia a faccia, ma mi adatto facilmente) basta che non abbottate la minchia con questa storia ridicola a livello linguistico perché ha il pessimo olezzo del protezionismo fascista applicato alle forme d'arte.
Campiamo esclusivamente di gloria, ovvero di persone che ci fanno i complimenti per i nostri pezzi, di altri che recensiscono i nostri dischi, per tutte le persone che ci chiamano a suonare pagandoci il giusto e per tutti coloro che comprano i nostri dischi. Quasi tutti quelli che ci si inculano sono musicisti come noi o gente che ascolta la musica, sul serio. E questo ci fa contenti.
Siamo per i gesti estremi, per l'originalità, per i dettagli tramite cui si esprime il bello e per tutti quelli che hanno qualcosa di intelligente da dire.
Questa è la linea guida base del nostro pensiero.

Our biography is direct and almost as easy as a political statement, concise and extreme as a poetic manifesto.
Starslugs were born in 2007 in Abruzzi (Italy) and are formed by Danilo "Felix" Di Feliciantonio, Pierluigi Cacciatore and Rolad TR707 drum machine (yes, the one used by Big Black in the 80s).
I can not clearly define what we do, that's why we coined the term "punknoise" in unsuspected times. I believe that basically reflects the main features of our way of making music.
We started and we still move around in open opposition to a musical world like the Italian one, even for what concerns the independent context, that still has little to say and is based on systems which are the same of our social reality, so if you have the right recommendations, you make it, otherwise you are no one and keep it. We write our songs in English because we like and not as a result of some star-and-stripe homologation fever, even because if we think of all the attention that the Italian indie reality allowed us, over the years, we would definitely be relegated to the oblivion of anonymity (but now we allow ourselves the luxury of being in that slice of cake - quoting Foetus - which is the underground, the real one - a position that would not trade with anything in the world). Do not break my balls with this kind of argumentt: in Italian I (Felix) wrote some wonderful novels and pieces that I read during readings that often perform around belpaese. I invite you to listen to or read them somewhere, online or in paper form. If you really want, we can talk us through the channels of your choice (I personally still prefer the face to face, but I adapt easily)  in the current language, but just do not abuse of my patience with this story of a ridiculous intellectual level because it has the stench of bad Fascist protectionism applied to art forms.
We get by only for glory, or to people who make us compliments, others who review our records, for all the people that call us to play paying us the right price and those who buy our records.  Musicians or people who really listen to music are almost all in the previous categories. And this makes us happy.
We are for extreme measures, for originality, for the details through which beauty can be expressed and for all those people who have something intelligent to say.
This is the basic guideline of our thinking.
